For those budding authors out there seeking a literary agent, Curtis Brown run an event every fourth Friday of a month called #PitchCB. It’s a chance to pitch your story in 140 characters (or less) on Twitter and potentially have it favourited by one of their agents.  If favourited you have the opportunity to submit your story for further consideration.  Neat idea.

My first pitch:

“After Tim’s mum vanishes on bonfire night he fights off scary monsters & uncovers a secret that threatens the very meaning of life.”

Sadly not taken up by Curtis Brown, but a good exercise to compress your synopsis into 140 characters! And remember the old saying, if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again!
